RESULTS commented from the teachers

When the assessments are over ALL the teachers will discuss the results of their OWN class in this section of the assessment page (some lines per teacher with the teacher's name added)

Imen's Class: My students were satisfied of their works that they had achieved. In fact, our project has a significant impact on students in various ways.

- It encourages active learning, where my students actively participate in the process of acquiring knowledge and skills of coding.

-It provides my students with opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned in real-world contexts specially in critical Thinking and coding.

- It involves collaboration and teamwork, requiring students to work together towards a common goal.

- It gives students a sense of ownership over their learning. They take responsibility for planning, organizing, and executing the project, which nurtures self-direction, time management, and decision-making skills.

Fatma's Class :

Our project offers our students a wide range of learning opportunities. Here are some of the key things that our students learned:

  1. Coding skills: Students developed coding skills by actively engaging in programming activities related to the project. They learned different programming languages, such as Scratch, Microbit, App Inventor, depending on the project's requirements. Through coding, students can develop problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.

  2. Collaboration and teamwork: eTwinning projects often involve international collaboration between students from different countries. Working together on coding projects allows students to develop collaboration and teamwork skills. They learn how to communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and work towards a common goal.

  3. Understanding the SDGs: The project's focus on the SDGs provides an opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of these global goals. They can learn about the different SDGs, their importance, and how coding and technology can contribute to achieving them. This promotes awareness and a sense of responsibility toward addressing global challenges.

  4. Creativity and innovation: Coding projects often require students to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions. They may need to design and develop applications, websites, or interactive tools that address specific SDGs. This nurtures their creativity and encourages them to think critically and outside the box.

  5. Global citizenship and cultural exchange: Collaborating with students from different countries fosters a sense of global citizenship. Students learn about different cultures, perspectives, and challenges faced by their international peers. This cultural exchange broadens their horizons and promotes tolerance, empathy, and intercultural understanding.

  6. Project management skills: Participating in an eTwinning project involves managing tasks, setting goals, and meeting deadlines. Students learn project management skills as they plan, organize, and execute their coding projects. This experience can be valuable in various aspects of their academic and professional lives.

  7. Presentation and communication skills: As part of the project, students often showcase their work through presentations, videos, or reports. This gives them an opportunity to develop their presentation and communication skills. They learn how to articulate their ideas, explain their coding solutions, and effectively communicate their project outcomes.

Athanasia's classes

I absolutely agree with the axes that Fatma has developed in the previous section and i prefer not to repeat the same

Instead, i think it is important in the results of the students' self assessment to focus on their skill to evaluate their own learning and their dedication, efforts and results in the project as well as their peers' evaluation.

Listening to our students' voice we understand that the project was interesting to the majority of them and very motivating especially when working in the international teams. All of the students have contributed with their work in multiple activities, using a variety of programming environments and tools and had developed beyond the coding and computational thinking skills, collaborative skills and communication skills. The work in their international teams in the forums was one of their very favorite. It is also impressive that one of their favorite skills was the activities about knowing the partner counties, which proves the added value of eTwinning projects in developing global citizenship.

Of course the theme of the project was a main learning goal for our students and it is very satisfying that the students know many more about SDGs not only in a theoretical base but also in ways that can actively contribute with their everyday practices.

The results about their overall experience in eTwinning, during a year that technicalities made it hard to work in the platform are very hopeful and make us glad to see that the joy through collaborative "adventures" in eTwinning survive and it is always there beyond any tool that is used to implement them

I feel grateful of the huge efforts our students have made this year, I am very proud of their final productions and I feel that they will be the best eTwinning ambassadors in the future.

Danguole's class

The project was fun and motivating for the students: they introduced themselves to each other, explored the possibilities of the TwinSpace space in terms of communication and collaboration - they interacted in forums, worked in international teams, and carried out team tasks. The challenge was the glitches in the upgraded system and the complexity of logging in at the beginning of the project. But despite this, the students coped well with the technical challenges and did not give up on the project. They got involved in the activities, were interested to see the partners in the online meetings and dared to participate in the dissemination of the project.

The whole class took part in the project, and 17 students received the "Student's Excellence" Badge. Some students were shy, others were afraid of their English language skills.

Considering that the pupils are in their first year at our Gymnasium and didn't really know each other at the beginning of the school year, the project helped them to get to know each other. The innovative theme of the project is very relevant as the curriculum changes and new elements are introduced. The pupils have gained a lot of experience and they and their parents are very happy with the results.
