Working meetings with French colleagues
Zoom meeting
Before the arrival of French colleagues for a preparatory visit in January, a Zoom meeting was organized on December 21, 2023, in order for the teachers who are in charge of the project activities to get to know each other and start cooperation.
Students' mobility to France will be led by professors Čović and Glavaš and librarian Peruničić with the support and assistance of Erasmus+ program coordinators in XVIII. gymnasium, professor Dvoršćak and Tardelli.
Colleagues Alexandre Davenne and Françoise Aquime are in charge of project activities at the partner school Lycee Remi Belleau. The topic of this year's project is related to the media - digital competences in the field of media culture.
First meeting
Preparatory visit
Colleagues Anita Pastor, coordinator of Erasmus+ projects at the school, and Karen Lhomme, social worker, arrived from Lycée Rémi Belleau for a two-day visit.
Two days, 23rd and 24th of January passed in a pleasant socializing and working atmosphere, and good foundations were laid for joint cooperation between the two schools, Lycée Rémi Belleau and XVIII. gymnasium.
Working meeting in the school's library
Our school will actually implement two projects with new French partners, one related to the group mobility of language program students, and the other to learning mobility of students from the bilingual French-Croatian program.
The meeting with colleagues from France was held by the Erasmus+ project coordinators in XVIII. gymnasium, professors Dvoršćak and Tardelii, and director Gall.
Students who will participate in student mobility also had the opportunity to meet the professors and learn useful information about the course of activities in France.
French colleagues and Croatian students engaged in the project MEDO
The meeting of the project manager and colleagues Anita and Karen was extremely important for the successful organization of student mobility, where the plan of activities to achieve the set goal was roughly presented.
In the modern world we live in, and in accordance with the topic we are dealing with, some colleagues, due to the impossibility of attending the meeting live, joined by phone or Zoom.
Project team from 18. gimnazija with French colleagues (online and offline)
The working language of the mobility is English, but we certainly benefited from the help of our colleague Julija Pantić, who prevented us from getting lost in translation by giving us her time and knowledge of the French language. Merci!
Zoom meeting
On the 2nd of February French and Croatian teachers engaged in the MEDO project had a Zoom meeting where they discussed the schedule for the mobility as the activities and conecting students.
Zoom meeting - schedule discussion and activity planning
Teachers agreed on three topics: sterotypes, fake news and FOMO (Fear of missing out), and the topics will be covered in three groups - podcast, video and newspapers. Each group will have 8 students, 4 French and 4 Croatian students. At the end of the project work, the students will have a presentation of the project results.
A trip to Paris has also been planned, the tentative schedule of the trip and the sights to be visited have been agreed upon.
Pairs of French and Croatian students were agreed upon based on previously exchanged posters on which the students introduced themselves to each other.
Arranged schedule for the mobility activities
The teachers and the students are really looking forward to the project activities in Nogent le Rotrou.
