Getting to know wood buildings in Joensuu and Finnish art. / Bowling.

Tuesday, September 27th

8.30 - 17.00

A trip to Koli - national scenery of Finland. / A film 'Mustarinta' about Koli and the seasons. /The tops Ukkokoli, Akkakoli and Pahakoli, a walk with a guide. / A guided tour at the Visitor Centre Ukko.

Introduction to 'slash and burn' method and how it was used to renew farmland.

Wednesday, September 28th

10.00 - 15.00

Fabric printing on bags / team building exercises outside with some of the school’s classes.

After lunch a workshop on deforestation (done by Google Earth Pro) at Arbonaut company.

Thursday, September 29th

A vist to the Forestry Department and Science Centre at the University of Eastern Finland. / Workshop on carbon sink. /  A quiz on animals living in the Finnish forests.
