In February, students watched 11 different videos about 'Renewable Energy' selected by partner and mentor teachers. Next, they had brainstorming with their peers. At the end of the activity, students conducted a workshop on media literacy, analyzing short clips, videos, and documentaries about renewable energy. With mixed international teams, they created a 'Canva Presentation' collaboratively and presented at webinar, zoom meeting.

Media literacy & Collaboration

To conduct a workshop on media literacy, students analyzed short clips, videos, and documentaries about renewable energy. As partner schools, all teachers first watched and analyzed more than 50 videos, then chose 15 of them to create a YouTube playlist. Students watched these videos with a focus on media literacy.

Next, mixed international teams were created, and each team was assigned a random video. The teams brainstormed and worked on a collaborative poster about their assigned video. At the end of the task, a collaborative slide presentation and a poster about each video/concept were created.

During the February webinar, each team presented their slides, designs, and posters to the other teams.

As mixed team 1, we focused on clean energy sources and wind turbines in our April mission. We immediately created a WhatsApp group and brainstormed. We asked our students to build wind turbines and they exhibited them to each other in our online meeting. Also, during our online meeting, our students prepared a joint poster about clean energy fon Canva

We designed a flyer and announced our event. Four different schools from three countries got together to raise environmental awareness. Our students cleaned the school gardens, and the surrounding areas, planted, recycled, made bird feeders and seed bombs, and learned about alternative renewable energy sources and compost. They also demonstrated their initiative by marching around the city.

  Team 4 

In April, as part of Team 4 in mixed-school teams, students worked collaboratively to create sample models of renewable energy sources. They conducted presentations in their class and school, showcasing a wind turbine model, poster work, and informative activities. Additionally, they hosted an online webinar where they shared their experiences and collaboratively created a poster and slogan related to the theme of the month. We congratulate all the students on our team.
