Day 4 - 2nd March: Pompeii
2nd March
Pompeii
It was a day dedicated to the Unesco World Heritage Site of Pompeii.
While visiting the ruins by a guided tour, we highlighted a number of parameters of our project focusing on Art. Again,it was a real Art & History CLIL lesson. We admired Pompeian Artworks such as frescoes, the most common painting style at the time. Yet at the same time emphasis was put on other forms of Art: Literature, cinema, theatre, music, getting inspired by Pompeii ruins.
Here you are a short video about our visit:
After the Ruins walking tour we went to visit the "Cathedral of the Virgin of the Rosary" in Pompeii modern city centre. Preparatory information about the Roman Catholic church had been given by the students of 3cTT.
This is a photo we took just outside the Sanctuary
Back to school students went on with their work in international groups. They learned tricks and techniques of public speaking working together and creating presentations and activities for the farwell party.
