day 4
Erasmus Diary(day 4: Friday, 11th of October 2022)
Dear Erasmus diary
written by Sidar (class 9, Wilhelmshaven)
Today was the last full day here in Volos. Me and my two class mates who share a room got up as usual at 7:00 a.m.and got ready. We went downstairs for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and At 8:30 a.m. we walked to school because school started at 9:00 a.m. We worked on our board game in different groups until 10:45 a.m. Then we had a 15 minute break. And after the break we continued to work on it until 12:30. We had reached quite a lot during these few days. We had worked on strategies, on the character of the heroes of our game and of tasks they have to do.
Then we visited the Archaeological Museum of Volos. The museum was really pretty and we learned really interesting things for example , the Museum had hosted exquisite artifacts which had been found in the early 20th Century and also findings from modern archaeological excavations in Thessaly which is the region around Volos. Exhibits on display include jewelry, household utensils and agricultural tools, originating from the Neolithic settlements of Dimini and Sesklo. The visit there ended at 2 p.m. We all went to a beachfront restaurant to eat together. After the meal we went a bit into the city.
After that we got ready for the farewell party. The party started at 5:00 p.m. and ended at 8:00 p.m. The party was really nice. There can be a lot of things to eat and drink. The people were all in a good mood and dancing. We also said goodbye to the other students and exchanged contacts. We were all very sad to leave.
After that we went for a (non-alcoolic... addition by the teacher :-) drink with our teachers in a bar at the seaside promenade of Volos and the day was already over. It was sad that it was the last day as time passed really quickly. However, we met nice people and collected a lot of beautiful memories and new impressions.
