CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change constitutes a global phenomenon. Climate change is
caused by natural processes as well as human activities with impacts on
the climate. It is caused by the overconsumption of primary sector
products and the reckless overconsumption of natural resources, which
is why climate change has been defined as being directly or indirectly
due to human activities. We could say that our behavior makes a lasting
impression, like an imprint.
The effects of climate change are felt around the world. Some of those
result in rising sea levels, melting ice caps and changing climate zones.
All these negative impacts of climate change are sometimes referred to
as “the climate catastrophe“. If a change occurs at a stage in a food
chain, it can threaten the survival of organisms in nature. So are the
effects of natural disasters, such as lack of water and food supplies,
storms and hurricanes. Moreover, rainfall causes flooding and extreme
heat causes drought resulting in insects that previously lived in an area,
now invading new places and spreading disease. Due to strong
tornadoes and storms, natural disasters are created worldwide, causing
damage of profound impact. Fires are burning forests and many species
of wild organisms are disappearing. The lack of water and food supplies
is also a big problem because the world’s population is steadily growing
so we will need more food, not less. Impacts of climate change also
occur in the oceans, which absorb about a quarter of the carbon dioxide
we release each year. The waters become more acidic, which is harmful
to marine life. Due to the warming of the planet glaciers melt faster,
adding more water to the oceans. The rise of the sea levels causes
flooding and threatens to completely submerge some islands, as well as
destroy soils, making it impossible to cultivate them.
We can prevent all this little by little if we really want to, by building
special flood houses, saving water, building dams as well as creating and
using many other innovative solutions to address all these serious issues.
We need to adapt to the changes that are happening now and plan for
the future to prevent or limit the damage that climate change can cause.
