A 4-day course and a one-time opportunity to discover what trauma means, how it manifests and how you as an educator find effective approaches to cope with specific situations. You can learn from th therapist and specialist Dr. Teresa Ngigi, who has many year of experience in working with traumatised children all over the world.
Description
We believe that especially for trainers, educators, career coaches it is important to recognise trauma in other people in order to understand and support the students in the best way in their learning path.
Therefore we created this one-time-training-opportunity with a specialist in Trauma.
Dr. Teresa Ngigi was trained in Kenya, UK, and USA, and holds a postdoctorate in Trauma Informed Care, a PhD in Psychology and Culture, an MSc in Organizational Leadership and Management, a higher Diploma in Psychological Counselling, and a BEd in Psycho-pedagogy.
She has done therapy work in different countries including Kenya, Uganda,Tanzania, Sudan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Italy, Syria, Egypt,Lebanon, among others.
Author of Breaking the Cycle: The Role of Auntie Rosie in Trauma Informed Care, which is a result of both research and experiences of resilience in different countries.
In this 4-day course you will look at trauma, understand where trauma comes from and how it manifest and learn small tools to personally deal better with trauma in yourself and in others.
