Young students opened a virtual hug for those who lost everything in the earthquake

February was a difficult month for our friends in Turkey. A strong earthquake hit their country as well as Syria. The earthquake was one of the strongest in the region, causing irreparable damage and costing the lives of many people.

The children of the partner schools, hearing the news on the TV, conveyed their anxiety and fear for their friends.

The children wondered if their friends in Turkey were okay, had a home and school, if they were scared and wanted to show them love.

We contacted them and they informed us that all was well, but the children did not stop talking about the affected people. So they suggested to express their solidarity with posters and drawings sending love that everything will be fine. On the initiative of the teachers, the Parents' Association and the children, they collected food, personal hygiene items, clothes, bedding and anything considered essential, making sure that they were sent to those affected by the earthquakes.

The children showed their awareness and solidarity by sending, together with material aid and their best energy and love, to all the children of the earthquake-affected areas and their parents respectively, with the wish that they would quickly overcome the difficulties and return home healthy.

Moreover the response of the people to the municipalities make us feel so proud!!!!
