Game-based learning: Gamification and Flipped Classroom
In response to the changing needs of teacher training, this Erasmus course introduces innovative educational methodologies: Gamification and the Flipped Classroom. With a teacher-centred approach, you will explore strategies that use technology and gamification to increase student motivation and engagement.
Description
Gamification applies game-like dynamics to the learning process, creating an interactive and competitive environment that drives meaningful outcomes. This module explores how to integrate gamification elements to maintain students' daily motivation, transforming the educational experience.
The Flipped Classroom proposes a pedagogical approach where the acquisition of conceptual knowledge takes place outside the classroom, through videos and digital resources. Inside the classroom, more time is devoted to practical and applied activities. This course demonstrates how the combination of the flipped classroom with gamification strengthens the active participation of students.
