“21st Innovation Center for Teachers: Project-Based and Student-Centered Learning”

The purpose of this KA1 Erasmus+ Course is to create the foundation for ongoing dialogue around how 21st century knowledge and skills can be appropriately embedded in educator preparation, and to guide the development of resources and services to support educators in mastering the competences that ensure positive learning outcomes for students to meet 21st century education novel needs.

Programme of training activities day-by-day:

 

MONDAY (Day 1)

Welcome and registration; Ice-breaking and Warm Ups. Team-building session

Introduction to Effective Classroom Management: How to Set Up a Simple, Effective Classroom Management Plan: Using Digital Tools for Effective Classroom Management:

Group Work: Effective Teacher-Student Interactions – Measuring and Improving Classroom Practice. Successful strategies for maintaining attention and task engagement

Outdoor activity with a training task: “Treasure Hunt”: In the shoes of our learners

FRIDAY (Day 5)

SATURDAY (Day 6)

Teaching social skills for effective teamwork; Cultural activities

Feedback, course evaluation and dissemination focus; Delivery of Certificates of Attendance

 

IMPORTANT: PARTICIPANTS COULD ATTEND 5, 6, 7 OR MORE DAYS IN ACCORDANCE TO THEIR APPLICATION. COURSE FEE INCLUDES TRAINING, COURSE DOCUMENTS (TEMPLATES WILL BE SENT TO PARTICIPATING TEACHERS), COFFEE BREAKS, STATIONARY, SIGHTSEEING, SCHOOL VISIT AT MOST LOCATIONS WHERE THE COURSE WILL BE HELD.

Learning objectives

The purpose of this KA1 Erasmus+ Course is to create the foundation for ongoing dialogue around how 21st century knowledge and skills can be appropriately embedded in educator preparation, and to guide the development of resources and services to support educator programs through the implementation of the following objectives: Engage teachers in creating instruction aligned with their state’s curriculum standards, effectively interpreting assessment results, responding to students’ learning needs, and cultivating a passion for learning that will support students for a lifetime; Meet the demands of the global economy by exemplifying, and embedding in instruction, the mastery of 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration and creativity and innovation; Application of technology to support more robust instructional methods and understanding the relationship between content, pedagogy and technology; Providing general information about ICT within various classes; Defining ICT usage in education with its benefits, provide teachers with practical ideas for how they can incorporate technology into their existing lessons; Gaining knowledge, tools, and confidence to use technology to its fullest in the classroom in order to maximize the students’ learning potential; Empower educators with connected, collaborative, and bold classrooms; Sharing experience of working in the digital classroom environments and learning management systems, new media, and in the context of cyber culture; Providing teachers with practical ideas about how they can incorporate technology into their lessons by developing their professional development on ICT(Informatic  Communication Technologies; Prevent and tackle bullying through the application of a number of key principles that should underpin a school – based approach: A positive school culture and climate; School-wide approach; Effective Leadership.

Methodology & assessment

The methodological approach includes: Think‐Pair‐Share; Reciprocal Teaching; Think‐Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS); Group Grid; Group Writing Assignments; Brainstorming; Group discussion; Group survey; Critical debates; Three-Step Interview. Participants will work together in groups on a structured activity. They will be individually accountable for their work, and the work of the group as a whole will be also assessed. Cooperative groups will work face-to-face and learn to work as a team. In small groups students will have a chance to share strengths and also to develop their weaker skills.

Certification details

At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance along with the Europass Mobility Certificate.

Our certificates are in line with the Erasmus Quality Standards and include a short description of its learning outcomes, dates, course venue, the name of the course provider and the course director, number of training hours.

We will help our participants with filling out the Learning Agreement and Europass Mobility documents. Our motto is:Effective training that accomplishes your goals is our goal!
