Sustainable Solutions

Students will illustrate a transformation of Earth from its current state to a sustainable utopia to raise awareness about environmental issues and the importance of sustainability.

Procedure:

1. discussing with students the key aspects of sustainability such as renewable energy, zero waste, conservation, and eco-friendly practices

2. researching innovative sustainable solutions that are being implemented around the world

3. Group work: each partner does ONE part of the sustainable utopia concentrating on a specific aspect of sustainability:

group 1: renewable energy

group 2: sustainable agriculture

group 3: transportation

group 4: waste management

Groups work on depicting the transformation of Earth from its current state of environmental degradation to a sustainable paradise.

4. Students illustrate their aspect: by hand or digitally (using the AI) and add their result to the common end-result.

Portuguese Activity for Earth Day 2024

On Earth Day 2024, young people take on a fundamental role, leading environmental movements and pushing for significant change.This class discussed the environmental challenges that the earth will have to face.
