Introduction to the project
The Sustainable Solutions Project (S&S) addresses the pressing issue of climate change and aims to provide both teachers and students with the skills and resources needed to mitigate its effects. Climate change has a wide range of impacts on individuals and communities, including extreme weather events, health impacts, displacement and migration, economic impacts, reduced access to resources, stress and anxiety, cognitive impairment, and depression. S&S has a multi-faceted approach that addresses these effects through its three key priorities: the environment and the fight against climate change, support for teachers and teaching professionals, and the development of key competences.
The objectives of the S&S Project
The horizontal objective of this international project is Environment and fight against climate change, and the underlying objectives are supporting teachers, school leaders and other teaching professions and development of key competences. The main objective of the Sustainable Solutions Project (S&S) is to achieve a greater impact in combating climate change by enhancing the digital skills of the target groups involved. By providing the target groups with tools and resources to design and implement sustainable solutions, as well as the digital skills necessary to access and analyse data, the project aims to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively address environmental issues.
The objectives of S&S are:
- increasing awareness and understanding of climate change and the role that digital skills play in addressing the issue.
- providing teachers, students, and stakeholders with the necessary digital skills and formal and non-formal education to
- take an active role in the fight against climate change.
- developing sustainable solutions to combat climate change that can be implemented in schools and communities.
- creating a network of informed and engaged individuals dedicated to sustainability.
