Art represents a precious means of expression from an age when verbal skills are still limited and an opportunity to practice and develop creativity through the maximum freedom of exposure it provides. On the other hand, artistic expression through painting is a genuine process during which the child reflects in the most personal way, depending on his individuality and his own capacity for expression, what he receives psychosensorily from the outside of his being. Art reflects man's need to beautify his life, then comes the need to create beauty for himself and for those around him. So that everyone becomes better, more beautiful, civilized and receptive to beauty, able to sense, understand and create beauty in nature and around us, our duty as teachers is to find the path from beauty to the child's soul. From the multiple possibilities of cultivating creativity within the optional activities, a special emphasis can be placed on the activity of painting. This method ensures the acquisition of a special plastic language, cultivates the taste for beauty, forms a child capable of deciphering the message of works of art. At the same time, it gives us the opportunity to discover how the preschooler sees or understands different things that impressed him more and held his attention, thus expressing his interests and desires. In order to ensure the most complex expression of the children's personality in their own works and to stimulate the ability to freely express their impressions, it is necessary that the educator should stimulate the children's imagination by suggesting, and not by imposing various themes. Putting different work materials at the children's disposal, arming them with techniques and procedures specific to plastic language, the educator must leave at the disposal of the inventiveness and originality of the preschooler the expression of various contents. The "The little artist-between play and creation" option offers children the conditions to practice the skills acquired in frontal activities, but above all to creatively apply, in new conditions, the skills acquired previously.
