KA220 - Mountain Areas Sustainable Development - FOSTERING PEOPLE to REMAIN!

The Project aims to make pupils become aware, to reflect and share ideas about SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT of Mountain Areas. What about ENERGETIC COMMUNITIES? What about ETHNO-LINGUISTIC MINORITIES? What about SUSTAINABLE TOURISM? What about FOSTERING LOCAL ECONOMY and LOCAL RESOURCES? What about LAND RISK MANAGEMENT (Floods, Landslides, Draughts, Fires)? What about SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATIONS? Through a SWOT ANALYSIS, the Students analyse the main points of their Territory, then they gather open source geographic datas (INSPIRE Directive 2007/2/EC). Then they choose one or two among the aspects analised, focusing on them and exchanging their ideas among different Schools in different Countries. They analyse both advantages and disadvantages of every aspect, their conflicts of interest, their weaknesses and how they could foster local development, helping the local people to remain and to take care of their territory. They try to find out and distinguish the peculiarities of every of their Countries and to suggest common lines of action, which could help the EU fostering the local communities, without loosing their deep identity. Finally, through some TINKERING TECHNIQUES, they try to act concretely to give their own contribution to foster the sustainable development of the area they had chosen.
