The project will start in February and last till October. The main goal is to raise awareness about environmental issues, sustainability, to promote healthy lifestyle and eco-friendly choices. It's going to be an interdisciplinary project. The students will explore the role of organic farming, sustainable tourism and ecotourism. They will present the eco-friendly resorts in their country. They will do research to find out information about organic food production in general, organic farming standards, eco-friendly ways of growing food, fighting the insects, worms and diseases, organic food industry in their country and in their community. They will be asked to make collaborative presentations, posters and flyers to present what they learned. They will have tasks to do during their summer holidays as well. They will be asked to collect photos and gather information about the eco-resorts they will visit, about the factories and farms in their region or family owned greenhouses which are committed to sustainable production. What is more, they will be asked to grow some kind of food or flowers (we need flowers to invite bees to our gardens) in their home gardens or containers without using chemicals or they will plant fruit trees in their home or school gardens.
