In a rapidly changing world shaped by climate transition, digitalisation and evolving job profiles, schools need updated approaches to help learners explore future careers early. The αSKILLS: Alpha Generation’s Skills Erasmus+ project responds to this need by offering practical, innovative solutions that strengthen career education and promote sustainability awareness.

The project supports the development of green skills through experiential and hands-on learning, while also encouraging reflection, creativity and collaboration. Its methodologies are designed to be easily integrated into both classroom and extracurricular settings, making them accessible and flexible for educators. By combining career guidance with cross-curricular approaches, αSKILLS helps learners better understand their strengths, interests and future opportunities.

Teaching materials for green careers and future skills

The project provides aready-to-use teaching resources, available in English, Dutch, Italian and Romanian. The main output is a guidebook, introducing four innovative tools:

  • FutureMe – helping pupils imagine and design their future careers
  • Boot Camp – career-oriented activities with a focus on experiential learning
  • Mirror to Horizons – activities that encourage pupils to reflect on their talents and potential career paths
  • Sun energy lab, Wind energy lab & ‘Fest It Up!’ – hands-on activities that engage pupils with the green economy and sustainability topics

Educators also have access to videos and downloadable resources supporting the implementation of these methodologies. Together, these outputs help develop future-ready skills and introduce pupils to the opportunities of a green and evolving labour market.
