eTwinning ambassadors
What are eTwinning ambassadors?
eTwinning ambassadors are experienced teachers and active eTwinners who support the promotion and development of eTwinning at national and European levels. Ambassadors act as multipliers, communicators and community builders, translating the value of eTwinning into concrete engagement for teachers, schools and stakeholders. For example, they provide training, share good practices and support both newcomers and experienced users to develop high-quality collaborative projects.
Through their expertise and commitment, eTwinning ambassadors strengthen participation in eTwinning within their schools and regions, and contribute to the visibility, impact and long-term sustainability of eTwinning.

How do ambassadors work together?
eTwinning ambassadors connect and collaborate through a dedicated group on My eTwinning, which serves as a space for discussion, coordination and peer learning.
In addition, we organise an annual onsite workshop for 100 eTwinning ambassadors from across the eTwinning community. The workshop provides an opportunity for in-depth discussions, networking and strategic reflection, and helps strengthen the ambassadors’ role in the eTwinning community.
Find out more about our recent ambassador workshops:
- Ambassadors in action: building communities with skills for life, Kraków, 2025
- eTwinning ambassadors as advocates for a whole school approach to wellbeing Athens, 2024
- Building an innovative community, Lisbon, 2023
There are also different activities for eTwinning ambassadors organised at national level. Find out more from your National Support Organisation.
How can I become an eTwinning ambassador?
eTwinning ambassadors are appointed and managed at national level based on community needs and their level of engagement and experience within eTwinning. The selection process can therefore differ slightly from one eTwinning country to another.
