Description

ICT in ELT examines and reviews the benefits of using various ICT tools in the language learning classroom. Students will have the opportunity to try out many different applications and IT programmes that can be used in lessons to assist students with language learning and to achieve high levels of classroom interaction and student motivation. The role of AI in the classroom will also be discussed and put into practise. Participants can enrol with some ICT knowledge, or none at all! We start simply and then share ideas so everyone will go home with plenty of new lesson plans and ideas. Please note: A minimum of 6 participants is required to run this programme.Further course dates possible for groups of 6+ on demand.

Methodology & assessment

The methodology integrates presentation of new concepts with elements encouraging participants to reflect and participate as they construct their own ideas of how to integrate ELT into their teaching practice. The course builds on a broad overview of the past quarter century of ICT and its use, and provides CPs with a wide range of practical classroom activities and approaches.
The course uses portfolio based assessment, which provides the participants with a useful body of work to refer to afterwards
