PT - GLEX Summit - Meeting world explorers
Conclusion as observers
The Explorers Club’s Global Exploration Summit (GLEX) brought together the world’s leading explorers.
They shared cutting-edge technology and innovations to propel us toward the next frontier in the future of exploration.
The event was held in June 2023 on Terceira Island, The Azores, Portugal
The event was attended by representatives of our project team - teachers from Portugal. Thet report for the whole team:
- All mission to space generate tons of space junk that can collide with satellites and cause accidents when they fall to Earth.
- No solutions were suggested for existing problems on Earth (global warming, pollution and the depletion of natural resources) a path suggested was the research and extraction of resources and the installation of artificial platforms that will allow recreating living conditions on other planets, enabling their colonization.
- Once more, the greatest world power companies/people will conquer the resources and territory of other planets;
- Even when environmental mistakes are not corrected, there is a big chance that the same mistakes will be done on other planets;
- The modern human being has now the knowledge of its environmental awareness, however there is no clear will to make changes in our life standard.
- During the Glex Summit there were 4 private jets in the Lajes airport. Those jets brought some of the participants of the summit. (!)
- Each space traveler and the grow of space tourism market, will increase much more the levels of the greenhouse gases effect when compared with thousands of cars.
- The rapid development of technology will increase the risk of human's replacement by robots. This can be applied in everyday industry or even in war industry.
They never talked about "Light Pollution"
