Description
This training course aims to equip educators with a solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as transformative tools in education. The program explores how AI can enhance instructional design, student engagement, and personalized learning. Participants will work with innovative AI and ICT tools—both for teaching and for detecting AI/ChatGPT usage. The course also addresses critical thinking and ethical considerations in AI use. Through workshops and collaborative activities, educators will develop practical skills to integrate AI and ICT meaningfully and responsibly into their teaching practices.

Learning objectives
- Understand the principles, potential, and limitations of AI in education, distinguishing myths from realities;
- Select and apply ICT tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance communication, collaboration, and teaching delivery;
- Design innovative lessons using AI to improve learning outcomes and classroom dynamics;
- Critically evaluate AI tools for pedagogical relevance, impact, and student data protection;
- Use data to monitor how AI affects engagement and learning outcomes;
- Address ethical, legal, and social issues related to AI, including privacy, bias, and equity;
- Stay updated on AI and ICT trends, adapting strategies to use new technologies responsibly;
- Apply AI to foster inclusive practices and address diverse learning needs;
- Promote exchange of practices among educators from varied contexts;
- Encourage active learning approaches that develop problem-solving and critical thinking;
- Improve ICT, English language, communication, and social skills.
Methodology & assessment
The training methodology is underpinned by EU values, promoting equal opportunities and non-discrimination principles, with the goal of enhancing participants' skills and enabling knowledge dissemination. Our educational practices follow the Erasmus+ KA1 Quality Standards and our Certification from Portugal's Ministry of Education, valid since 2001.
• The methodology encompasses theoretical sessions, simulated practices and participatory activities, incorporating digital tools/resources and supporting materials tailored to each course.
• Pedagogical methods may include focus group, learning, peer activities inspired by project-based approaches (Dewey and Kilpatrick), sharing best practices, collaborative processes, roleplaying, case studies and field visits.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment is based on active participation in activities, a final presentation of a project or output. All material is shared within the group, consolidating the pedagogical activities’ outcomes.
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
The course takes place in high-quality training rooms, equipped with WiFi and an outstanding coffee break. Participants are required to bring their own laptop or tablet in order to install and use applications during the course. All other learning materials and resources will be provided by the organisation, ensuring an immersive and effective learning experience. These may include printed manuals, digital resources, physical materials, access to e-libraries and interactive digital tools.
Certification details
Certification follows Erasmus+ KA1 Quality Standards, ensuring recognition across Europe, as well as our Certification from Portugal's Ministry of Education.

Cancellations up to 40 days before the course starts are free of charge and require written notice.
After this period, you may choose to reschedule (no extra cost) or provide a replacement participant or request a refund (€100 administrative fee per participant deducted from the total amount).
