The course aims to provide a basis for the development of a STEM competence framework that might help fully illustrate and enable the coherent and effective integration of a competence-based approach across the STEM field. providing for participants a full glossary of activities and lesson plans for science, math, engineering , art , technology.
Learn how to introduce this STEAM of thinking in early childhood and primary education. Help your students develop solutions to open-ended real-world problems which will engage them in the processes of scientific and higher-order thinking.
The course focuses on 4 modules: Innovative STEM Learning, Learner-centred STEM Education , Teacher-centred STEM Education and Innovative STEM Assessment
Day 1: Course opening event

Creativity in the STEAM projects
Day 2: The Basis for Learn STEM: Knowledge, skills and competences for learning STEM/ STEAM
STEM Education Initiative- best practice around Europe
Day 3: 2030 Sustainable Development Goals- case study
The Pedagogical Model Learn STEM: iterative learning processes according to the Learn STEM model
Day 4,5, Implementation and Usage of Learn STEM: 20 practical STEM/ STEAM activities (including lessons plans) for students in preprimary and primary classes (interactive workshops in outdoor environment)
Day 6: STEAM Tool fair- collaborative design for new STEAM activities
School/ kindergarten visits for more STEAM inspiring ideas
Day 7: Transform STEAM in STEAIM- cultural iceberg and intercultural competences for students

Learning objectives
learning is fun and by the end of the course, the participants will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of STEM , STEAM , STEAIM concepts
-Explore how to teach STEM/ STEAM and STEAIM in Early childhood and primary education
-Incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Art and Inclusion and and design-related skills into the general learning environment and curriculum.
- Build students confidence in the importance of play, fun and engagement in learning.
-Build authentic STEAM lessons that are grade-level and content appropriate for students in the class.
-Learn how to support inclusion of all types of students th9ugh out STEAM activities
-Demonstrate understanding of how technology is integrated into STEAM and how it enhances student learning.
-Unpack the concept of STEAM integration into its different formats: multi-inter- transdisciplinary approaches and accordingly develop interdisciplinary projects.
-Anticipate challenges and get clear on the responsibilities and roles of each teacher with STEM/ STEAM/ STEAIM approach in the class

Certification details
At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded with the Europass Mobility Certificate, together with a descriptive certificate of attendance ( on the certificate will be specified the title of the course, name of the participant project, national reference number, numbers of hours, course dates and location). after participants enrollment, we provide also the learning agreement and the interinstitutional agreement.
PREPARATION AND FOLLOW UP
BEFORE:Every participant will have to fill a questionnaire which helps the trainers to customize the course to better fit their needs. Attendants will get instructions and material which will help them to be prepared for the courses needs.
AFTER: The participants will get material which includes information about all the areas covered at the course, lesson plans , all the produced outcomes of the course, useful links and more. ON THE LAST DAY OF THE COURSE THE PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A DRAFT OF FUTURE ERAMUS SMALL SCALE PROJECT AND DESIGN SUPPORT WILL BE GIVEN
