
Learning Styles and Multiple Intelligences in Formal and Informal Education
This course has been designed for teachers who want to learn more about the different learning styles that occur and the role of multiple intelligences in both formal and informal education.
Description
According to studies people learn in many different ways and they understand better what they are taught in their predominant learning style that can be either visual, audio, read or written and kinesthetic. Moreover, it is not only the different learning styles that affect the learning process but also the multiple intelligences that define the variety of ways that students learn and acquire information and range between the use of words, numbers, pictures, music, body movement and so on. Thus, one of the main goals of this course is to help teachers detect the different learning styles and multiple intelligences of their students. There will be both theory and practice during this course so that teachers will be more qualified and confident to use new practices in their courses that will fit to the needs of each student in order to have the best academic and learning results. Course participants will be invited to journal their experiences during the course, share knowledge and work
Learning objectives
Participants to the course will learn to:
- Understanding the factors of learning styles and multiple intelligences
- Learning how to identify those factors between their students
- Developing an awareness of the differences between learning styles and multiple intelligences
- Adopting new teaching practices that will fit to the needs of each student in order to have the best learning results
- Being innovative in their teaching process
- Creating a lesson plan based on those special factors
- Taking part in an intercultural and peer learning environment and understand its importance
- Being able to teach to a boarder range of talents and skills

Discussion and sharing experiences about the factors of learning styles and multiple intelligences seen in their class
DAY 2
Theory about Learning Styles
Presentation of different learning styles with examples
Role-playing about how different kind of learners can be taught
Group dynamics to create a course plan based on different aspects of learning
DAY 3
Theory about Multiple Intelligences
Exploring by peer-learning and role-playing different kind of multiple intelligences
Game: Digital tools applied to multiple intelligences
DAY 4
Making a summary of what we have learned about learning styles and multiple intelligences
Planning a course based on the different multiple intelligences what will be beneficial for every student
DAY 5
Discussion, sharing experiences/knowledg
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Course participants will receive training and engage in exercises designed to develop their skills as trainers. The provision of additional materials or resources will be determined based on the course structure and the instructor’s approach to meeting the learning objectives
