Description

Welcome to our teacher training course on "Inclusion and Tolerance at Schools!" In today's educational landscape, fostering a classroom environment that embraces diversity, inclusivity, and tolerance is crucial. This course aims to equip you with the necessary tools and strategies to create an inclusive space where all students feel valued and respected. Through engaging discussions, practical exercises, and reflective practices, we will explore ways to celebrate and appreciate individual differences, promote empathy and understanding, and address bias and discrimination effectively. Together, let's cultivate an educational environment that empowers students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, regardless of their backgrounds or identities.

- Manage conflicts and promote positive behavior through effective communication and restorative practices.

- Engage parents and communities in fostering inclusion and tolerance at the school.

- Act as advocates for inclusion and tolerance within their school and wider educational community.

Methodology & assessment

The Inclusion course will adopt a practical and interactive approach, focusing on skill-based and learner-centered methods. Participants will engage in group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative activities to explore best practices for inclusive education. Case studies and role-playing exercises will be used to simulate real-life classroom scenarios, helping participants develop empathy and problem-solving skills. Hands-on workshops will provide practical tools and strategies to create inclusive learning environments, while reflective sessions will encourage participants to evaluate their own teaching practices and adapt them to diverse needs. The course emphasizes active participation and cooperative learning to foster a deeper understanding of inclusion in education.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

The course will provide participants with handouts, case studies, and activity guides tailored to inclusive education. Digital tools like collaborative platforms (e.g., Padlet, Miro) and interactive presentations will support group activities and discussions. Additional resources, such as videos, templates for inclusive lesson plans, and a curated list of best practices, will be shared to enhance learning and application. Non-digital teaching aids will also be used to support practical knowledge
