Teacher Training at UCLL Campus Diepenbeek presents ready-made hands-on STEM-projects to STEM Educators
Diepenbeek, Belgium — June 10th , 2024
The University Colleges Leuven-Limburg (UCLL) recently hosted a specialized teacher training program at its Diepenbeek Campus. Sixty secondary education teachers passionate about STEM participated in this event. The goal? To share innovative STEM projects, ready to be rolled out and implemented in over forty schools.
The training covered a range of topics, including effective pedagogical approaches, project-based learning and strategies for engaging students in STEM disciplines. One standout project presented during the training focused on tackling light pollution—an issue that affects both urban and rural areas. Participants explored creative ways to raise awareness about light pollution and its impact on the environment.
As these trained educators return to their schools, they carry with them the knowledge and enthusiasm needed to ignite students’ interest in STEM fields. With light pollution as a focal point, they’re poised to make a meaningful impact on their students’ learning journeys.
