The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are widely known as Agenda 2030, with reference to the end year by which the SDGs should have been attained globally.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked goals with actions agreed upon by all 193 member countries of the United Nations in 2015.

The Global Goals are a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity for everyone while protecting the planet.

The SDGs represents a comprehensive agenda (17 goals, 169 targets and over 200 indicators)

The SDGs involve a five “Ps” agenda: people, prosperity, planet, peace, and partnership

and these five “Ps” are for all the countries and the peoples of the world.

It is the most ambitious international agreement ever made, to eradicate poverty and inequality, protect health, and prevent climate change.

Let's have a look on the goals with these short videos (the second one in rap style):

Task of the day

Think about these, explore the following resources and use the discussion (Forum) of this page to answer the following questions:

A. Choose 2 Goals (one is the goal of your team and the second one is whichever you like) and explain how they are connected and related to each other

B. "Whatever bed we make, we're going to have to lie in it"

B1. What do you think this quote means? What kind of “bed” do you want to make? Who does the quote suggest is responsible for achieving the SDGs? What does this mean?

B2. While all goals are important and interconnected, what goals do you find as more important to your country?

B3.  Which goal are you going to work on according to your "dice"? What role would you would prefer to have while promoting it? The roles are a) activist b)maker-inventor c) town-council (authority) d) citizen
