Cultural diversity is a growing reality in education, requiring inclusive and responsive teaching practices. Educators play a key role in creating environments where all learners feel valued and supported.

The Easy Together project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, aimed to facilitate inclusion and education of children with fewer opportunities and promote multicultural understanding and tolerance.

A practical and accessible handbook for teachers on the inclusion of culturally diverse children was developed and made available in English, Romanian and Czech. The handbook includes 40 structured methodology sheets, each offering ready-to-use activities and approaches. The handbook was distributed to 400 schools and evaluated by 57 teachers.

The methods are based on real classroom experience and combine formal and non-formal education approaches. This makes them practical, engaging and adaptable to different learning contexts. Teachers can use them to respond to diverse needs and abilities.

The project has also developed interactive and playful learning tools, which have been distributed to 496 schools and evaluated by 90 teachers.

Project impact

For partner organisations, the project strengthened institutional capacity for international collaboration and communication, and enhanced staff’s practical know-how, contributing significantly to the organisations’ long-term development.

Feedback from teachers, learners and other stakeholders was positive, highlighting the relevance and effectiveness of the project results. Children from migrant, refugee and minority backgrounds benefited from the educational materials and activities, which project partners continue using beyond the project’s life cycle.

The Easy Together project shows that inclusion begins with understanding. By creating multilingual educational materials and sharing good practices across Europe, we help teachers and children build classrooms where diversity is seen as a strength, not a barrier.

Comments by the external reviewers on this resource:
The handbook is interesting, well-organised and easy to use. The valuable part of the handbook is the working materials/sheets/online games that can be reached out through QR code or link and can be used directly in the classroom.
