What Does the Puppet Tell Us? Design and Play

The project is an art education project implemented by integrating puppet works into the preschool program in order to support the development areas of language, social-sensory, cognitive, motor and self-care skills of preschool children aged 3-6. Puppets are a play tool, even a toy. According to Erikson, she describes puppets as the easiest tool to unnoticed teach a child during this time of high entrepreneurship. With this project, we aim to support students' creativity, awareness of their emotions, self-expression and communication skills. Our students will design puppets using different materials. The project includes puppet design, mathematics, art activities, family involvement, music, science-mathematics, games, interactive games created with web 2.0 tools, mixed country team games, cooperation and joint product studies. It is a student-centered and project-based study that aims to raise individuals who can analyze, establish cause-effect relationships, have technology literacy, and communicate.
