NON-FORMAL ACTIVITIES FOR AN INCLUSIVE SCHOOL (YALOVA, TURKEY)
The objectives of these activities were:
Promoting inclusion and diversity:
• Creating an inclusive school environment where all students feel accepted and valued, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or social background.
• Implementation of non-formal activities that promote mutual respect, tolerance, and understanding of cultural diversity.
Development of social and emotional skills:
• Stimulating empathy, collaboration, and effective communication between students through non-formal activities such as role plays, workshops, and group projects.
• Improve skills in managing emotions and resolving conflicts constructively.
Improving teaching and learning methods:
• Introducing innovative non-formal teaching and learning methods that motivate students and increase their involvement in the educational process.
• Adapting the school curriculum to include non-formal activities that support hands-on and experiential learning.
Promoting health and a healthy lifestyle:
• Organization of sports and recreational activities that encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.
• Nutrition and mental health education through informative sessions and hands-on workshops.
