This course focuses on inquiry based learning.
Learn how to put children in active role of scientific inquisition, experimentation, and critical thinking. This course allows the participants to familiarise themselves with up-to-date science and learn how to transfer this knowledge to primary and secondary school children.

DAY 1 - WHO IS HERE AND WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER?
Introductory meeting: ice-breakers, practical arrangements, timetable, expectations and contributions.
International exchange: key principles of the different educational school systems and peer exchange of best practices
DAY 2 - DAY 4 - TRAINING TOPICS
Science and science myths
The importance of science education for all
The structure of science lessons
Practical work: creative and low cost in class science experiments
Challenges in teaching science through hands-on experiments
Scientific mind and attitude

DAY 5 - STUDY VISIT TO THE LOCAL SCHOOL
Exploring core activity domains and specialised educational approaches with teachers from the school, classroom observation
