Promoting STEAM Education through Teacher Training
Skills of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) are becoming an increasingly important part in today’s society. STEAM-related careers are some of the fastest growing and best paid of the 21st century, and they often have the greatest potential for job growth.
Description
Creating a solid STEAM foundation through an integrated curriculum is the best way to ensure that students are exposed to science, technology, engineering, arts and maths throughout their educational career. It is also important for educators to have a skill set that allows them to inform students about STEAM career prospects, motivate them and support them.
The 5 days training course will focus on enriching the STEAM curriculum through innovative activities for students, available learning and teaching resources as well as enriching educator’s skills in engaging and motivating their students. The course will also explore the need to involve the local community and organisations.
