
Learning Landscapes: Navigating Multiple Intelligences
During this training course we would like to offer teachers and educators a tool through which they could engage children groups better, while enhancing their learning and development.
Description
In the educational system we rarely analyze what are a student’s most powerful intelligence fields, what should be developed more, and how all these information tailor a group’s profile. Knowing what intelligence field is the most powerful in a group helps us to choose the method and approach that is the most suitable for the concerned pupils.
During the sessions of this training course we will explore Howard Gardner’s theory on multiple intelligences, we will dive deeper into each of them and we will identify together ways of applying this theory on each subject represented by the participants.
Participants will participate in multiple group works, where they will develop methods ready to use with their students once they return home and they will have time and space for sharing personal practices, tips & tricks they use and the trainer will also share insights from her history of working with children.
Learning objectives
The goal of the training is to prepare educators to personalize and optimize teaching based on students' diverse intelligence profiles:
- The Theory of Multiple Intelligences: Participants will become familiar with Howard Gardner's theory, which explores the different types of intelligences and how they manifest in students.
- Identifying Individual Intelligence Profiles: Participants will learn methods to assess students' individual intelligences, allowing them to effectively support diverse learning needs.
- Analyzing Group Dynamics and Collective Intelligence: Participants will learn how to assess a group's overall intelligence profile and tailor activities accordingly.
- Personalized Teaching Strategies: Participants will acquire practical methods for adapting teaching strategies to suit various intelligence types.
- Integrating Multiple Intelligences into Lesson Planning: Participants will learn how to incorporate the theory of multiple intelligences into lesson plans and curriculum design.
Methodology & assessment
Participants will learn how to use simple tools in order to build up games and activities, focusing on one or more of the intelligence fields.
If the participants are open to it, collaboration between the participants could continue even after the training course - going home and testing the tools and knowledge gained during the training, sharing the experience and outlining the conclusions could enrich the community’s knowledge.

Certification details
The Learning Agreement sample includes all course details (skills, objectives, outcomes, timetable). Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of attendance, and their Learning Agreement Complement or Europass Mobility Certificate will be signed. The course meets European Commission Quality Standards, e.g., "a day of physical course activities includes at least five hours of learning activities" and "the course setup provides opportunities to meet peers from other countries."
