INSPIRING YOUNG LANGUAGE LEARNERS with CLIL methodology, SPAIN. Enhance student motivation using fun projects and multi-modal techniques
This dynamic course will give you a comprehensive, first-hand experience of Smart Teachers Play More (STPM) methodology for language learning:
• Designed by teachers.
• Activities tested and approved by children.
• Methodology renowned internationally.
• Innovative, effective and motivating.
• Highly experienced native English teacher trainers.
• Eco-awareness activities throughout.
Description
- In this course, you will explore how to plan language learning as part of classroom routines and cross-curricular activities. You will witness how creative and multi-modal tasks can provide students with meaningful opportunities to actively engage with a foreign language in fun and effective ways. You will experience these activities through a students’ perspective and feel their appeal as a much more attractive alternative to the regular use of worksheets or textbooks.
- You will discover that, just by adding a few simple STPM techniques, these classroom activities can provide endless opportunities for active language learning both through more implicit play-based activities for our youngest learners to more opportunities for reflection and creativity with language for our upper primary learners. We will show you how making classroom resources with students is highly motivating and gives both relevance and context to the language we teach.
