Description

This programme is for vocational teachers who wish to use English as the working language in their classroom. Participants mix with vocational education and training teachers from abroad, developing their international network, and making connections for potential future collaborations.

Programme includes:

Tuition – English language fluency classes
Workshops – focus on functional working language in the classroom
Cultural excursions
Babel Academy certificate of completion

Schedule:

Weekday Morning lessons
Weekday Afternoon workshops and excursions
Saturday full day trip

Learning objectives

Improve fluency in English communication
Enhance vocabulary for subjects such as technical and hospitality subjects
Improve confidence in English communication with colleagues, students and in the workplace
Experience Irish culture and network with international colleagues

Methodology & assessment

Learning in context through application of language skills to real scenarios. Dialogue and focus on communicative activities. Engaging in group work and discussions to share experiences.
