Description

This practical and immensely useful course is perfect for teachers who wish to improve their English language skills by further developing their fluency, confidence and communication skills. It is dedicated for both younger and/or trainee teachers who want to acquire accurate, authentic and idiomatic classroom language, and for experienced teachers who want to extend the range of their classroom English. All workshop sessions focus on teacher language, practical classroom management and communication skills. The course will give teachers an opportunity to step back from the classroom, gain some practical insights towards improving their professional skills, make connections with colleagues, and return to teaching with a renewed sense of enthusiasm. As participants come from all over the world, the course is also a valuable exercise in community-building and international understanding.

Methodology & assessment

The working methods that are used are highly practical and participatory. The experiential method is used to encourage the search for contemporary pedagogical theories and teaching approaches. The hands-on approach is used to examine real examples, case studies, surveys and simulations. The group activities foster mutual learning, cooperation and collaboration between participants. The discussions encourage sharing ideas, intercultural dialogue and the exchange of good practices between the participants. Social, networking and cultural activities give participants the opportunity to establish professional cooperation and links with teachers, staff, schools and organisations in Europe.

At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance together, if requested, with the Europass Mobility Certificate. The certificate is in line with the Erasmus quality standards and includes a short description of the course and its learning outcomes, the dates, the venue and the name of the course provider.

Cancellation & changes:

Course cancellations and refunds
•    Cancellations at least 4 weeks before the course: EDUCULTURE will refund the entire amount, minus 10% or participants can join another course/session in the following 18 months.
•    Cancellations less than 4 weeks before the course: EDUCULTURE will retain the entire amount, and participants can join another course/session in the following 18 months.
•    Once the course has begun, EDUCULTURE will retain the entire amount paid.
•    Cancellations due to force majeure at least one week before the course: EDUCULTURE will refund the entire amount.
•    Cancellations due to force majeure less than one week before the course: EDUCULTURE will refund the entire amount, minus 10% of the course fee, or participants will be allowed to join another course/session in the following 18 months.
•    Once the course has begun and is cancelled due to force majeure, EDUCULTURE will retain the entire amount paid and implement the rest of the course online.
