The purpose of the course is:To build 21st century success competences such as critical thinking, problem-solving skills, communication, collaboration; To support educators to develop themselves further through coaching, to build their confidence and self-awareness;To understand the importance of extracurricular activities in schools as an essential part of a students' development.
Description
Programme of training activities day-by-day:
MONDAY (Day 1) Module 1: Welcome and registration
Ice-breaking and Warm Ups. Team-building session: Presentations of the participants’ schools. Introduction and Setting goals: Being Teacher: Are you the teacher you want to be? Swot analysis for teachers; Characteristics of good teacher; 21st century C’s of Education for the Future.
TUESDAY (Day 2) Module 2: Workshop: Coaching for teaching and learning: A practical guide for schools: Coaching versus mentoring; Supporting coaching at school; The relationship between coaching and performance management; Purposes of teacher’s coaching; ‘Ideal’ coaching cycle; Dimensions of coaching conversations; Levels of coaching practice development; Leading and sustaining coaching at school.
WEDNESDAY (Day 3) Module 3: Outdoor activity with a training task, connected to Extracurricular Activities at school: “Treasure Hunt”: Values that Extracurricular Activities can Bring in Your School’s Life; Selecting the Most Appropriate Extracurricular Activities; Benefits of Extracurricular Activities for Students; Good practices – group work
THURSDAY (Day 4) Module 4: Workshop: Coaching for Change: Teacher-Centered Coaching: Assertiveness in and out of the classroom: How can teachers communicate their emotions and opinions in a constructive way; GROW coaching model; Teachers as Learners: How Peer Coaching Can Improve Teaching.
FRIDAY (Day 5) Module 5: Teaching environment: How to improve effective communication with colleagues, students and their families: Conflict Management; Time Management; Creative Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Find Creative Solutions using creativity tools: Brainstorming, Mind Mapping, De Bono’s Six Thinking Hats, etc.
SATURDAY (Day 6) Module 6: Feedback, course evaluation and dissemination focus. Sightseeing/ Cultural Activities according the intercultural competences, stated in Europass Mobility.
SUNDAY (Day 7) Module 7: Feedback; Evaluation; Delivery of Certificates
Learning objectives
Provide knowledge and skills with a positive attitude towards innovations, feel the necessity for self-education, and adopt a student-centered teaching approach; Develop teaching professional skills, trying to be "an effective model of competence"; Learning to learn competence; Integrate 21st century skills and content in instruction; Learning about the methods of coaching; Gaining knowledge about the skills you need to be an effective coach; Learning about the approaches you can use to be a successful coach; Developing students' skills and abilities through successful coaching; Developing the knowledge of how a good coach can stimulate students' creativity; Learning the difference between coach and mentor; Enhancing students' motivation through various creative activities; Development of tools and techniques for innovative problem solving; Applying effective strategies that help to improve student engagement and retention rates, as well as increase parental satisfaction with their education; Increasing a children’s self-confidence, help them learn how to be more social, and help them develop their talents; Teaching life skills that aren’t always taught at home or in school through taking part in extracurricular activities at school; Learning about teamwork, developing strong communication skills, experiencing what it feels like to stand on stage in front of an audience, applying optimal time management, learning how to cooperate without bullying others; Improved academic performance and social skills of students; Developing positive habits for better early development of a child; Setting a pathway for the general health and well-being of a child to carry along throughout their lives, such as: Time management skills, Community development, Compassion towards others, Self-efficiency; Using an invigorating teaching approach to old content; Developing habits of mind that can last a lifetime and guide learning and creative thinking.

Certification details
At the end of the course, each participant will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance along with Europass Mobility.
Our certificates are in line with the Erasmus Quality Standards and so include the course's title, short description of its learning outcomes (if requested), dates, venue, the name of the course provider and the course director, number of training hours.
We support participants in every step of certification and validation of learning outcomes with specific focus on European instruments and Erasmus+ requirements such as Learning Agreement, Quality Commitment and Europass mobility.
