One of the key aspects of eTwinning/Erasmus+ projects is its curricular integration in one or more disciplines, the multidisciplinary approach, key competences and skills. Then you can upload on this page how the project work is integrated into the curricula of the various subjects involved.

Starting from the book „The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery through the eTwinning project „The Little Prince: let's take care of the environment we live in! 2023/25” we addressed topics such as environmental responsibility, friendship, love for others, respect for the environment and people, help offered to others. These themes are also found in the curriculum for V-VIII grades in the following disciplines: Religious Education, English, Romanian language and literature, French, Social education, Biology, Geography, ICT, Drawing and Music.

We will present the topics we selected to study in Religious education, English and French for classes 5 to 8.

For example, in Religious Education the following topics are studied:

5th Class:

  • creation of the world - the humans ‘responsibility towards creation

  • God`s friendship with Noah and Abraham

  • the Decalogue: its importance in people`s lives

  • respect in the light of faith (respect for self, parents, classmates, peers; biblical examples: David and Jonathan, Ruth and Noemi, etc, Daniel and his friends)

  • helping others (helping as a form of expression of the faith and love of God; helping parents and colleagues; people in need; helping ways; biblical examples

6th Class:

  • gratitude for the good received (expression of gratitude to parents, colleagues and peers; biblical examples – thanksgiving brought by the healed leper)

  • life-changing effort (the importance of self-knowledge and the need for guidance; biblical examples)

  • Forgiveness, a sign of spiritual goodness (the role of reconciliation and forgiveness in relationships with God, with oneself and with others; the Saviour’s words about forgiveness; love, respect and forgiveness in the family)

  • mercy, manifestation of love for others (signification, role, ways of fulfilment; biblical examples)

7th Class:

  • manifestation of joy in human life („Happiness”; moments and contexts of joy in everyday life: joy for spiritual and material values, joy of encounter with people, joy of encounter with others, joy for the accomplishments of oneself and of others, joy of forgiveness)

  • beauty in the Christian's life (the spiritual beauty of man; the beauty of behaviour; beauty in art; the beauty of nature)

  • friendship and love, values for life (healing the weakling of Capernaum; relationship between love and friendship; specific aspects in adolescence)

8th Class:

  • freedom and responsibility in life (consciousness – the voice of God in the life of man; the need to argue and assume their own decisions at the age of adolescence; contexts and criteria for choosing values, values, principles, friends, profession, the path of life; the limitation of freedom by dependence; the parable of the return of the prodigal son)

  • challenges of the contemporary world and the attitude of Christians (challenges and problems of the present society; involvement of Christians in preventing and solving them)

 

In the English and French classes, we focused on the following:

 

-5th grade: Relationships, Daily Life, The Natural World, Animals, My World, creating personal profiles, pollution

-6th grade: An attitude of gratitude! (Students think "outside the box" to identify funny things they're thankful for, and then use digital content (audio, images, movies) to represent those things on a PowerPoint slide, Weather and climate change, strange phenomena.

-7th grade: News around the world, Healthy lifestyle, Common celebrations around the world, Life in the future, Communication, Modern technology, Education, social media

-8th grade:  global issues, carbon footprint, social responsibility
