Final closing activities and greetings
Our collaborative mysteries stories are on their way!
On 16th April the Olympic torch started its journey to Paris 2024. The ceremony tool place in the Greek town of Olimpia, 100 days ahead the start of the Games.
Also our poject is slowly approaching its final destination and the students have been working lately on their final task: the writing of a collaborative mystery story entitled 'Who stole the Olympic medals?'
The students were divided into transnational groups and assigned the following story beginning. Each group had to continue the part of the story written by their partners.
A final jury composed by all the teachers involved in the project will proclaim the best story and the winners will receive their gold medals....back!
Here is the beginning of the story:
In the Olympic village, a big problem arose - the shiny medals were gone! Lisa, a helper at the Games, saw the locked room open and noticed the medals missing. With the Games approaching, worry spread among the organizers. Lisa, although new, decided to be brave and find the medals before the athletes arrived.
Survey about European teenagers and sport
In January the students created questions to inquire about European teenagers' habits and thoughts about sport. The teachers have chosen the most meaningful ones and the result is a Collaborative survey addressed to young students from 12 to 18. The outcomes will be shared, analyzed and compared.
A lot has been going on around sports issues in the schools involved in the project. You can see it in our section ' What's going on in our schools?', where students and teachers report about sport-related initiatives.
The students of Liceo Mamiani have faced the issue of 'The Gender Pay Gap in Sport' and listened to a lecture about the project Sport Against Match Fixing recently.
And the winner is...
Ready with new activities after the Christmas break
After the break the pupils have finished to submit their logo and started to vote for the one they prefer. The WINNING LOGO will be announced next week. Meanwhile you can have a look at them by clicking HERE.
Good luck to all the logo proposals!
The other activity we are carrying out is the creation of a collaborative survey about sport and other topics connected to it. All the groups are writing their questions. We will select a bunch of them and create a survey for all the project participants, their friends, teachers, relatives and classmates. Then we will compare the results by country.
The project has taken off and we have been doing the first activities!
During the first two months the students have got acquainted with the platform and the main topic of the project: the Olympic Games.
They have presented themselves by focusing on sports and free-time activities. Then they have read and listened to their partners' presentations to find out who might be their buddy!
As the torch relay is one of the symbol of the Olympics that is strongly connected with their ancient origins and with the values they aim to promote, we have also decided to nominate our torchbearers. In groups, the students have chosen the classmates who should carry the torch according to their skills and talents.
At the moment the partners are working on the project logo by exchanging their ideas on the forum section in transnational teams. We are looking forward to vote the winning logo at the end of the month!
