East Tyrol is a rural area that, of course, has a lot of very beautiful farmhouses. However, there are also many that are no longer used. Reasons for that might be the high renovation costs and also strict regulations regarding possible renovations. For families it is often easier and more affordable to build a new house than renovating an old one. Furthermore, new blocks of flats are constantly built everywhere in East Tyrol.

This former church is located next to an upper-level school in Lienz which focuses on music, art and sports.
As the art department of the school has to be rebuilt, the former art department was reallocated in the church.
This turned out to be a great choice and option as the church is not only very spacious and offers a lot of room for different art projects, is also serves as a great inspiration for the students and the teachers.
They would definitely prefer this church to a new building and a
