eTwinning encourages educators to work together on creative activities and projects. These projects provide inspiration for how eTwinning can be used to support literacy projects in the classroom.

  • Myth'arts: myths in art and literature (2021) focused on classical mythology through the arts (literature, painting, history and music), to raise awareness of classical culture while developing a sense of belonging to Europe.

  • Literature detectives brought Moldovan and Latvian pupils together to explore a variety of topics through literature and academic analysis. Pupils and teachers met online to choose themes, analyse books and prepare presentations for a final online ‘conference’.
  • ¡De fábula! centred on classic fables by Aesop, La Fontaine and Tomás de Iriarte. They analysed and reinterpreted these narratives from humanistic, social and scientific perspectives and also researched the animals featured in the stories.

Project kits: making pupils fall in love with reading and storytelling

In these eTwinning kits, pupils can explore traditional tales, craft their own stories and enhance their writing, speaking and presentation skills in engaging and imaginative ways.

  • A book a day keeps boredom away: With this kit pupils will be introduced to classic or modern literature and will participate in collaborative creative activities which will support their emotionally and socially growth.
  • Stories connect: The kit aims at enhancing pupils’ writing, speaking and presentation skills through storytelling and collaborative learning.
  • Bookraft: This kit explains how to use crafts and creative activities to enhance the pupils’ enjoyment of reading books.
