The name given to each of a UNESCO-listed place of special cultural or physical importance (such as a forest, mountain, lake, island, desert, monument, complex, or city). The international World Heritage Program, managed by the World Heritage Committee of 21 UNESCO member countries elected by the General Assembly, updates this list. The program lists, names and preserves areas of cultural or natural significance to the common heritage of humanity. The partners in our project will examine these places in their own countries, share their visuals and documents with other partners, and share their own heritage with other partners. It will also be necessary to visit at least one heritage site during the study.
