Computational thinking is the mental activity in formulating a problem to find a solution that can be carried out by a human or machine. It teaches people how to tackle large problems by breaking them down into smaller problems and how to go from specific solutions to general ones. Over the next 10 years it is estimated that there will be 1.4 million jobs in computer sciences and only about 400,000 graduates qualified to do them, and not knowing the language of computers will be like being illiterate. In today’s digital world, coding is a fundamental skill, but it is rarely taught in schools. In this project we aim at introducing coding and computational thinking across the curriculum. We will apply new teaching approaches (flipped classroom, gamification, PBL, CLIL) and activities like code games, use of robots and story building, to use coding creatively and in an enjoyable way in all subjects. We will also focus on coding as a useful device to inclusion (#ETWININCLUSION)
