It depends on YOU! European schools as incubators of sustainable ethical attitudes for the welfare of human beings and natural environment

The main goal of our activity is to raise both ecological awareness and the general understanding of the causes and the range of climate change. Another goal consists in increasing individual responsibility for the condition of natural environment. The assumption is that during the 2 years of the project, at least 70% of its participants will know and will realise the negative effects of global warming on the climate of our planet, man and economy. The assumptions are supposed to be confirmed by surveys, and in the case of students also by the feedback from teachers. Our aim is to increase the sensitivity of at least 60% of the participants to the uniqueness and beauty of the world through discovering natural places, gaining knowledge about them and preserving them in an artistic form. The qualitative yardstick will be the assessment of exhibitions of students' works and their quantitative participation in the actions of flowering school squares or other actions to improve the quality of the landscape. We assume a positive change in the environment respect; we count on the participation of 80% of participants in the actions of cleaning up the world. Our key goal activities will be concerning at least 60% of those participating in the program: they will systematically and correctly segregate waste, take care of cleanliness of the environment, reduce plastic, energy and water consumption. There will be positive behavioral change confirmed by observation and survey. Another goal is to promote the assumptions of integral ecology by about 220 teachers and students. We hope that, after the completion of the project, the target group will make good choices for: sustainable food, mobility and responsible consumption. We believe in the need for a deeper and more comprehensive approach to environmental education in partner schools, where this subject is missing, and students' activity for environment is often a superficial and selective "eco" fashion or even an ideology for which people count less than nature. Our goal will be to create and implement an interdisciplinary program within 2 years of integrated environmental education and an educational platform on which we will post about 20 of the most interesting scenarios lessons, workshops, educational trips prepared by partner schools in national languages and English. We also anticipate practical results: flower meadows, herbaria, corners in the style of "New European Bauhaus" and educational digital games. In this project the marginalized and excluded for many reasons will participate.
