Healthy eating habits at school

The project aims at helping students realize that the choices they make when selecting what they eat at school has a strong effect both on their health and on the environment. Using student-oriented, collaborative, experiential and digital approaches, the students will investigate their eating habits at school, compare them with the ones their peers in other countries participating in the project have. They will comment on the nutritional value and the environmental effect of the food they choose to eat at school and propose healthier and more eco-friendly alternatives making good use of their country's traditional snacks and dishes. Throughout the project, they will be encouraged to embrace their cultural heritage and at the same time to be more open-minded to other cultures, exchanging ideas and practices and adopting the best ones to serve their goals. (This project aims mainly at the SDG 3 -Good health and well-being- and SDG12 -Responsible consumption and production- of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030.)
