Coding on the road. Adventures to move better

The project aims to encourage children in kindergarten, primary school and secondary school to develop a more informed and civilized behavior on the road. The project aims to build an educational path that teaches pupils to experience the road in a more prudent, safe and responsible way as protagonists of traffic, both as pedestrians and as cyclists and future motorcyclists and motorists. The statistics reveal, in fact, that the main causes of road accidents are attributable to non-compliance with safety regulations, non-compliance with road signs, human error and imprudence. It is therefore necessary to intervene in an early and profound manner with an education that directs the behavior of children and young people towards the street. The main objective is to involve and educate children between the ages of 4 and 14, identifying in this period of the child's life the ideal moment for learning ways of behaving with others and society and in particular how to behave on the road. An effective education on how to behave on the road can establish in our pupils a "formative and civil culture" which becomes an integral part of their way of life, which leads them to consider respect for the rules as a normal attitude and not a hateful one. compulsion. Through Road Education we must educate our pupils:tolerance towards otherssolidarity with the weakestnot to be attracted by the myth of speedto be aware of their psychophysical conditionsto know how to observe and respect the environmentto develop the ability to predict the behavior of others.
