People have tried different methods for centuries in order to find effective solutions to the problems they face. In particular, designers and engineers turned to creative and innovative solutions in order to make a difference and increase their effectiveness in design. Nature is an important source that inspires this innovation (Altun, 2021). Bioimitation is not only observing nature and transforming it directly into a product, but also lays the groundwork for learning biology-based concepts. From this point of view, it is aimed for our students to both observe nature, living things, learn the mechanism of action and make creative and innovative designs with an interdisciplinary learning method.
