Let me guide you through my city

Students from different European cities with an important industrial past will prepare a guided tour of their city based on their research about the Industrial Revolution. How did it start, how did it develop and change people’s lives, what are its social, economic, cultural, and environmental consequences today? They will first work on the history of the Industrial Revolution in their own cities to create a thematic guided tour that they will share via virtual or real visits by students of their partners’ cities. Then they will compare their work to the ones of their European partners. Common features, but also differences, will emerge and help students assess the origins and causes for today’s common but multi-faceted European heritage.
