STORYTELLING AND EUROPEAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE

The project aims at learning about the history and traditions of the host country in order to better understand the current European context and future scenario. They will work in groups. They will use technology and online platforms to work on digital storytelling. The students who will take part in the journey will widen their knowledge about Ostrava, Brno and Prague, following the historical timeline and highlighting the artistic aspects. The pupils will also consider, using different text genres, the social features of the host country, making the most of their visit to learn about best practices and peer relationships at school. At the end of the project the students will be able to compare and contrast cultures and historical and artistic backgrounds. Pupils will use the E-Twinning platform and other platforms online (also for storytelling activities) in class and independently, to share their experiences. The focus on history and traditions of the hosting country will be useful to achieve our main objectives of promoting cooperation, promoting values of inclusion and diversity, tolerance, and democratic participation and promoting knowledge about shared European heritage and diversity.
