December is a very special time in kindergartens and schools. Every teacher works hard to make sure to decorate their classroom and bring a little magic to their children. We play holiday songs and make cards for our parents. We thought this December could be even more magical if we could connect to children in countries throughout Europe, listen to holiday songs in their languages and see the cards they made, written in English and their language. This would spark conversations about their culture, their traditions and how they celebrate their holidays. Our goal is to show them that even though we may be different, we still have many things in common, including the holiday spirit. NOTE: As we expect (and hope) many different partners and participants, we wouldn't be exchanging cards as individuals (so each child would send a card) but as schools/kindergartens. That means if 25 organisations would participate, each parter would be in charge of making 25 cards for each organisation to be displayed publicly for all children.
