As we have seen, social development in adolescence, MME, and social media influence to your nutritional behaviour, leading sometimes to 'poor' food choices due to peer pressure, convenience, and marketing of unhealthy foods that can have detrimental effects contributing to various health issues, including obesity, diabetes, and mental health disorders.

Take a look to the following presentation regarding obesity in adolescence:

Furthermore, the combination of poor nutrition and substance use can exacerbate mental health issues, increasing the likelihood of anxiety and depression.

On the other hand in adolescence, there is a growing awareness of appearance (body image) depending on the opinions of others and the environment. Dissatisfaction with their appearance occurs if their body shape looks fatter or feels too thin than usual, affecting their diet, including the selection of food ingredients, meal frequency, and nutritional intake, sometimes leading to eating disorders:

During our meeting in Greece, some of you will take part to two cases studies based to a webquest  . For more see the padlet: https://padlet.com/erasmushealthschools2024/eating-disorders-case-study-s25pxutio2u4ehu1

It would be nice if you could take part to an escape room, edited for another ongoing Erasmus+ project entitled "Mediterranean Diet for Overall Health", where a team of students are trapped in a virtual world dominated by AI . To return to reality, you must overcome various challenges regarding nutrient deficiencies and health problems, navigating  through different rooms to  solve the puzzles and escape with the knowledge needed to promote healthy eating habits:

Now that you have developed so many topics it's time to collaborate in transnational teams so to focus and design three (3) informative posters: one for obesity, one for eating disorders and one for nutrient deficiencies in adolescence. Post your posters to the following padlet
